Chronic Pain

One out of Five people suffer from some form of Chronic Pain. Although Hypnotherapy has proven to be an effective tool when used to assist those in Chronic Pain to manage these symptoms, Hypnotherapy should never be seen as a replacement for existing medical practices but rather as a complimentary practice offering clients who suffer with discomfort more options by working in conjunction with health care professionals.

Pain and discomfort are signals or messages from the body that indicate that something is wrong. It is the body’s way of asking us to do something about it through the body mind connection, which simply means that discomfort is a natural mechanism of the body that serves to protect us from further injury or harm.

In cases where the client has been diagnosed by a medical or health care professional, and when the health care or medical treatment is unable to assist the person, it naturally leads us to utilize the power of the mind available to us through hypnosis to come to our aid and assist with reducing, understanding and managing the discomfort experience.

Chronic Pain Program

Chronic Pain is something that is constantly troubling the person troubled with it and therefore Brigitte has developed a program that works on all levels of the pain experience.

When effectively dealing with the pain experience the more often we facilitate sessions the more benefits we have to gain , this concept works on the principle of compounding which means the more often we build on the skills and tools utilized during the hypnosis sessions the better we are able to cope with he experience outside of the sessions.

This compounding begins to develop a new perspective on an old experience meaning we can begin to experience the discomfort in a new comfortable way.

 

Each program is designed on an individual basis because some clients only need 3 or 4 sessions while others need 4-6 sessions and others still need more for this reason each plan is treated as uniquely as the individual and we move through the program on a session for session basis.

First Session

The Initial session allows us to fully discuss the issue and how it is manifesting in your life. During this session we cover all the hypnotic misconceptions and allow you an opportunity to experience hypnosis in a positive way. During this session we build on the resources you already have to assist us with the issue beginning to chip away at the problem on a symptomatic level. 

During this session we begin to work with assisting the sufferer with new copings skills and new ways to begin to manage the levels of the pain experience. This is a wonderful opportunity to begin to look at the pain experience through a new lens.

We also consider developing a pain management program that works best for you.

 

Follow Up Sessions (1 and Half Hour)

The Initial session allows us to fully discuss the issue and how it is manifesting in your life. During this session we cover all the hypnotic misconceptions and allow you an opportunity to experience hypnosis in a positive way. During this session we build on the resources you already have to assist us with the issue beginning to chip away at the problem on a symptomatic level.

Follow Up Sessions (1 Hour)

Follow up sessions allow us to take the value of compounding to the next level because this allows for the new Neuro connections to be made and by compounding the value of the new coping and management tools the mind is allowed an opportunity to learn a new response. Not only does this assist with managing the current experience however the pain threshold is there for naturally increased meaning the client gains maximum benefits from these session.

It is recommended that these follow up sessions run as quickly as possible. Preferably having the sessions on a daily basis however it is understandable that life is also an element to consider. For this reason we can select a schedule that works best for you, Brigitte recommends that the sessions are conducted as close together as possible perhaps only leaving a day or two in-between sessions.
